Free vs Paid: When You Feel Unsure, It’s a Sign to Recognize Your Inner ‘Unfulfilled Self’
Hello, this is Meguru.
Sorry it’s been a while since I blogged.
This time, we often receive messages and opinions like this:
“This blog is amazing —
I’m so grateful you’re providing this information for free.”
“Is it okay to go this far? It’s incredible that you’re able to provide paid-level information like that.”
“In exchange, how about charging a fee?”
I think I’d like to talk about this.
This is just Meguru’s personal opinion.
Paid, free. Which one? (help!)
First of all, there are many people who praise this blog for providing information for free, and I’m happy to receive such praise, but I personally don’t think that something is great just because it’s free.
However, I don’t think that just because something is paid, it’s automatically great either.
In other words, things like this:
“It’s free, so it’s great.”
“It can’t be helped because it’s free.”
“It’s great because it’s paid.”
“It can’t be helped because it’s paid.”
Whether it’s free or paid, there’s nothing that “can’t be helped,” and something that’s great is wonderful regardless.
Wow, I’m writing something so obvious lol
It doesn’t matter if it’s free or paid — if I can make my wish come true, I seriously think it doesn’t matter which one!!!
After all, aren’t both good?
So, here are the reasons why many people get angry about fees:
○ Their wish doesn’t come true (even though they paid a lot of money, it hasn’t happened)
○ High price
I guess it’s around that.
Well, if you think about it calmly, you’ll understand it right away.
Even if it was free:
○ Even if you practice what we teach, your wishes will not come true!
Isn’t that so? (More on the price later)
In other words, here too:
“My wish didn’t come true because it was free.”
“My wish came true because it was free.”
“My wish didn’t come true because I had to pay.”
“My wish came true because it was paid.”
It can be divided into these cases (I said the obvious thing again lol),
That is to say, even more obviously:
It doesn’t matter whether it’s paid or free to make your dreams come true.
That’s what it means.
“Will it come true if I take action? Will it come true if I don’t take action?” It’s the same as that discussion.
It doesn’t matter (whether I act or not) lol
Now, it turns out that it doesn’t matter whether it’s paid or free to make your dreams come true.
This is really interesting when you realize it.
So? What do you want to do?
This story is…
○ When I asked a fortune teller, they told me it was impossible to get back together. It won’t come true…
They are structurally exactly the same as:
○ Even though I bought a paid product from a famous coach, no matter how much time passes, I still can’t get back together…
See? They’re the same, right?
And the important thing is:
So? What do you want to do?
If a fortune teller tells you that you can’t get back together, will you give up? Are you going to end it there?
When you buy paid products and think, “I can’t get back together,” are you going to end it there?
Is that okay?
Please remember that whether it’s a fortune teller or a famous coach, they are outsiders to your reality.
Whether money is involved or not, they’re “outside” your inner world, right?
Even if it’s a paid coach, they are still “outside.”
Even if it’s a free coach, they are “outside.”
The only thing that matters is that you are aware of this, right?
Whether it’s paid or free, it only matters because you think it does.
It’s just such a simple story.
Even money has nothing to do with it.
A fortune teller says, “You can’t get back together.”
Some people think, “What? Then it’s no good. It’s the worst. It’s over.”
Some people think, “Yeah, but I’ll continue loving them anyway.”
On the other hand, even if a fortune teller tells you, “You can get back together,” you might think, “I was told we can get back together, but even this accurate fortune teller might be wrong. My love situation is just that complicated.” Some people end up thinking that way.
Do you understand?
This has nothing to do with fortune tellers lol
The final decision is always 100% mine
Because, in the end, the final decision is “I make it myself.”
That’s always the case 100% of the time.
The same goes for paid coaches.
I think the more expensive it gets, the more likely you are to think, “I spent so much money and it didn’t happen!!!”
The final decision is made by me.
No, that’s not true.
I haven’t heard from them yet.
It’s already been three months.
Even though I spent money, the situation hasn’t changed.
You may think so, but I think you’ll understand if you’ve read this far.
If you have that attitude, there’s a possibility that no matter how much money you spend, it won’t come true (you can’t see it coming true — you’re creating a reality where it won’t come true).
Eventually you get tired and think, “Even if I spend so much money, it won’t come true for me” and the bar for achieving your goal keeps getting higher.
Because you’re entrusting the fulfillment of your wishes to someone else — an outsider.
It’s the same as being confused by the words and actions of your person (also an outsider).
It’s a beautiful world where what you think is reflected back to you, but why would you leave such important things to the outside world?
In that case, if you ask, “Will it work if it’s free?”, the answer is that’s not the problem. With that attitude:
“No matter how free it is, it won’t come true (I can’t see it coming true).”
You’ll just end up thinking, “I’ve been watching these videos, but nothing works at all! It’s free, so maybe that’s just how it is.”
So, as I’ve said many times, paid or free is irrelevant.
Do you understand? No matter how much money you spend or don’t spend,
If you remain in the mindset that it won’t come true, you’ll just end up in a situation where you think it hasn’t come true — because that’s what you’re believing.
(Even though they spent money!) The only difference is how angry they get.
The value of money is different for each person
The other thing is this:
If there is a fee, what about the amount?
I think there are a lot of people who are concerned about how much fees should be, but as long as there are people who are willing to pay, the market works, so basically it doesn’t matter. That’s what I think. (Except for obvious fraudulent purposes)
Even if it was $1,000 per hour, that would be too low for a corporation to pay a consultant, and even individually, $1,000 would be nothing for someone who earns $100,000 a month.
The value of money is completely different depending on where you look at it, who looks at it, and how you look at it.
So in that sense, I don’t think there’s any need to argue whether a price is high or low. (Some people think it’s a bargain if a computer costs $100, and a rip-off if water costs $20, while others don’t. The perception of high and low prices really differs from person to person.)
On this blog, we also publish videos for free.
Some people think, “Despite that, there’s tremendous substance.”
Some people may think, “There’s not much substance to it.”
Whether it’s free or paid, everyone has different opinions about the content.
In the end, it all comes down to whether or not the person thinks this is worth paying for.
In our case, the fact that we provide free content is often praised, but basically, if we’re providing valuable information, I think it would be completely reasonable to charge a fee.
You’re offering that person’s time, information, and ability.
If you made 100 special accessories yourself, wouldn’t you want to sell them unless you’re volunteering? It’s basically no different. Buyers would also be happy to purchase such special accessories! That’s what I think.
In our case, advertisers are paying for it at this point.
From the beginning, our line for charging has been very clear.
There are two situations:
(1) When writing materials other than blogs — books, etc.
(2) When someone appears who wants individual consulting
Regarding (1), blogs and YouTube are all free, and we provide everything without holding back,
so there’s really no need to purchase any paid services.
But we get many requests like “I want to get all the information I need in a short amount of time,” so I think it’s possible we might provide paid articles for such people in the future.
Also, Meguru’s main job is writing, so as a professional when it comes to writing-related things, for example, if I write a book in the future, I would naturally want to be paid for it.
As for (2), it’s honestly completely unnecessary, so I don’t do it.
Both my blog and YouTube are free, and I really say everything — it’s like
“Just do the rest yourself.”
However, some people say, “I want to talk to you directly!”
In the end, what I’m saying would be the same thing, but I think it’s good if talking can make you feel lighter or more positive.
However, this would be based on the premise that all information is already provided, and since it would be for people who still want consulting, I would plan to set the price high.
(In short, it means that you don’t have to come lol)
I haven’t done anything about (1) or (2) yet, so I don’t know what will happen, but I’ve mentioned this often in live streams, so I’m writing it down again.
So please, just forget everything we just talked about and watch this video!!!
Get back together quickly! Please! lol
