Even if you are told that all you have to do is “decide on your thoughts”… 3 recommended books for when you want to do something

Hey there, it's Iruru!

Here at LoveSync Attraction, we believe in something simple but powerful: because you believe it, it will happen. That's how the subconscious mind works. So really, all you need to do is decide what you want.

I'm always encouraging people to let go of their egos and just enjoy the present moment.

But here's what I hear a lot:

"Wait, but shouldn't I be doing something? If I don't take action, reality will stress me out and my ego will drive me crazy!"

I totally get it. So many of us feel that way.

・Write down your wishes in a notebook
・Meditate
・Visualize in detail

It's perfectly fine to do something concrete like these practices.

But here's the thing: it's not required. If it feels right to you or you genuinely want to incorporate these habits, then absolutely go for it. But you don't have to.

When I Needed to Take Action, I Read Books

When I first discovered the law of attraction and the power of the subconscious mind, there was this part of me that kept thinking, "Shouldn't I be doing something? Maybe I have to do something." Even though intellectually I understood the concept of trusting in a greater power.

For years before that, I'd been someone who relied on willpower and effort. My ego was strong—I genuinely believed that nothing would happen unless I made it happen.

So I dove into reading. Lots of books. I tried all sorts of techniques that promised, "You should do this." And honestly? It was fun.

But looking back now, I realize I didn't really need to do anything special.

Still, when that restless ego gets going and you just can't sit still, it's totally okay to channel that energy into something. For me, that something was reading. So I want to share three books that really helped me understand the subconscious mind and the law of attraction back then.

Three Books That Changed How I Understand the Subconscious Mind

Back then, I was convinced I needed to study every detail about attraction and the subconscious. So I read constantly.

Of course, I picked up the classic The Secret, but honestly, I got more out of watching the DVD version.

Looking at Amazon now, there are way more books available than there were back then. The books I read are a bit older, but I found them genuinely helpful, and I'd love to share three of my favorites with you.

E-Squared: Nine Do-It-Yourself Energy Experiments That Prove Your Thoughts Create Your Reality - Pam Grout

What I loved about this book was that it wasn't just theory. It included practical experiments you could actually do to experience your desires coming true. It was perfect for my "I need to do something" phase.

The whole premise is: complete nine experiments over about 21 days and experience how your subconscious mind brings your desires to life.

Each experiment comes with a worksheet, and as you work through them one by one, you get to witness your wishes manifesting. The book uses the term "field of potential," but I think of it as the subconscious mind.

I tried the first experiment—the Law of Energy in the Universe. (I tweaked it a bit to make it my own, but the core concept stayed the same.)

Here's what I did: I made a decision and set out to experience it coming true.

I decided I'd meet someone I'd been wanting to connect with by the 15th.

And guess what? We met on the 15th. Out of nowhere. It actually happened.

*The original worksheet had a 48-hour deadline, but I didn't think I could manifest something that fast, so I gave myself until the 15th instead.

I was amazed! But honestly, I didn't do any more experiments after that.

Why? Because I thought, "If it works on the first try, why complicate things?" (Yes, my laziness won out!)

If you're feeling stuck in your ego and can't seem to let go, this is a great book to try. It really drives home how powerful your mind truly is.

Your Dreams Will Definitely Come True with a One-Minute Diary! - Akira Imamura

This method is so simple: write in a diary every day and start experiencing for yourself that what you set your mind to will come true and that you really can get what you want.

Here's how the diary works:

Write up to three items in the morning (these can be tiny—like "I'll have my favorite coffee") and two more in the evening. Then something magical happens: what you write in the morning comes true by evening. You start stacking these little wins, and pretty soon you think to yourself, "If I write it down, it comes true." And then? It really does.

It's especially great if you love writing and exploring different ideas. The fun part is watching everything you jot down actually materialize.

I like jotting down my thoughts, so I sometimes use a notebook. But lately I've been a bit scattered about formats, so I just write. If having a structured format helps you stay consistent, I totally recommend it.

Why Do Successful People Visit Shrines? - Ryuhei Yagi

This one's about shrines, which might seem off-topic, but it really resonated with me. There was a period when I felt down and would visit a nearby shrine almost like a ritual—to pray, to find peace.

Reading this book made my shrine visits even more meaningful. It helped me understand what I was really doing there.

For me, visiting the shrine became like meditation—a way to quiet my ego and let go.

I know some people find it jarring to physically move around or do something when they're feeling anxious. But for me? Walking to that shrine, taking in the peaceful atmosphere, and praying was deeply calming. It gave my restless mind something constructive to channel that energy into, while also soothing my ego.

Remember: The Foundation Is "Because I Think It, It Will Happen"

So, what do you think?

As I've mentioned before, there are tons of ego-management techniques—journaling, affirmations, visualization, and more. But none of them are mandatory.

The real foundation is this: because you believe it, it will happen.

If you feel like you need to add something on top of that to feel secure, that's okay too. But remember: you don't have to think that way!
