Does Taking Action Interfere with Subconscious Manifestation?
Hello, this is Iruru.
On this blog, we teach that when you want to manifest your desires through your subconscious, there’s one simple truth: “You attract what you believe.” Once you’ve decided what you want, let your subconscious mind do the heavy lifting. Step into the shoes of someone who already has those desires and savor the joy that’s available to you right now. That’s really what manifestation is all about.
But here’s the thing—some people get antsy just sitting back and letting their subconscious handle everything. They feel this urge to do something.
Maybe they’re thinking about therapy, crystals, psychic readings—you know, taking some kind of action.
This raises an interesting question: does taking action actually mess with your subconscious manifestation power? I know some of you worry about this.
When trusting your subconscious feels impossible
I’ll be honest—I’ve done my fair share of therapy and seminars over the years, and each one brought something valuable to my life.
There was even a phase where I was completely obsessed with healing crystals and had them scattered all over my house (yes, I’m laughing about it now too).
But back then, I wasn’t trying to manifest through my subconscious. I was convinced that I had to fix my problems myself, so I threw myself into every solution I could find.
When I first discovered subconscious manifestation, I’ll admit—I was skeptical. The idea that you could just decide something and have it happen without lifting a finger? “Yeah right,” I thought. “That sounds way too good to be true.”
After years of grinding and pushing myself, I’d developed some pretty stubborn beliefs: “You can’t just expect the universe to solve your problems,” and “Relying entirely on something outside yourself is naive and irresponsible.”
I was so attached to the idea that “if I just work harder, I can figure this out myself” that learning to trust my subconscious and stop trying to control everything felt nearly impossible.
Don’t force yourself to stop taking action if you’re not ready
I think this resonates especially with people who are used to being self-reliant. Looking back, no matter what anyone had told me at that time, I wouldn’t have believed that I could just trust my subconscious and call it a day. So if you’re in that place and feel called to take action, go for it.
Now, from a pure subconscious manifestation standpoint, action isn’t technically necessary.
The moment you truly decide to trust your subconscious mind, some people see their desires show up in the most unexpected ways—sometimes literally the next day, leaving them thinking, “Wait, it came from THERE?”
So if you can make that 100% decision to trust, then just make it and let your subconscious mind take care of the rest.
You don’t have to carry the weight of making everything happen yourself—you can simply decide what you want and let your subconscious figure out the how. But if that feels impossible right now, I think it’s actually better to take action, even if it might take a bit longer.
Because when you force yourself not to act when every fiber of your being wants to, your ego goes into overdrive: “What if nothing happens because I’m not doing anything?” “Can I really trust my subconscious mind?” You end up getting yanked around by these spiraling thoughts instead of embodying the version of yourself who already has what you want. But if taking action helps you feel more like “Okay! Now I can step into who I want to be!”—then that’s your perfect path.
The end result is the same when you’ve truly decided, regardless of your approach
Subconscious manifestation boils down to this: “Decide what you want, and it’s done.” This principle holds true whether you choose to take action or trust your subconscious completely.
The real game-changer is whether you’ve truly decided. When you have that solid inner knowing about what you want, the outcome remains the same—whether you’re taking action or sitting back and letting your subconscious work its magic.
Personally, I actually enjoy taking action, so I love combining that with trusting my subconscious. It’s like having the best of both worlds.
There’s no “right” or “wrong” way here. What matters is finding the approach that lets you feel most like yourself. I hope this gives you some clarity on what might work best for your unique journey.
